Words cannot describe how proud the coaches are of our athletes that competed for the 2020/2021 year. We all know the challenges that COVID gave us. Even with that, everyone persevered and excelled.
Our team had the addition of many new members, mostly from the middle school level. Of those new members most of them had never shot a gun and others had never shot sporting clays.
New youth members learned the game and shot along side of our varsity and junior varsity members who were in their shoes a few short years ago. Quite a few of them posted impressive scores for their first time playing.
Sierra Bonser, Landon Cereska, and Otto Oliver are part of the starter team and joined in their freshman year. Each of them competed in the National Tournament and were awarded medals for various accomplishments through the conference and USA Clay Target League.
Luke Baier, Zander Cereska, Joey Halvorson, Alena Lowry, and Jackson McLarty also competed over the weekend and performed exceptionally while collecting medals throughout the season.
All of these athletes make this game look easy, when it is not.
